CARIHI believes that in improving healthcare, a scientific/experimental approach to improvement is key to success. This applies no matter what aspect of healthcare one is considering. This approach drives our engagement with organizations we work with. However our main focus is on building sustainable capability for improvement within organizations.
This includes:
- Building science-based improvement capability at various levels of the healthcare industry
- Training leaders, managers and front line staff in improvement methods
- Working with managers to use improvement methods such as lean to guide and support front-line improvement
- Facilitating networks to share knowledge about improvement activities in the region
